Dr. Koefman graduated from the University of Tasmania medical school with first class honours. He completed his neurosurgery training in centres across Australia working with many senior neurosurgeons. Dr Koefman has a specific interest in neuro-endoscopy,  neuro-oncology and minimally invasive spine surgery, and is motivated by a desire to continue to improve surgical recovery and clinical outcomes in surgery. His treatment philosophy toward spine surgery centres around minimalistic and safe intervention. His treatment philosophy focuses on quality of life.
